As the first company to purchase Wing Loong 2 civil UAV, Tianxin General Aviation established its own O&M system for large UAVs to undertake such business as large UAV mission execution and assets custody, and provide integrated solution to the application of large UAVs. Its business scope covers the application of large UAVs in such industries as meteorology/emergency response/forest and grassland, and professional technical services of load testing and scientific experiments, etc.
The O&M team is composed of qualified professionals versed in the general aviation sector, with years of flying experiences as well as experiences in the maintenance, management and safety control, who have deeply participated in the operation and support business of large UAVs.
The Company is building its large UAV operation fleet consisting of various UAV models, through the in-depth cooperation with Zhongguancun Science-Tech Leasing Co., Ltd. in financial innovation. So far, the Company already purchased and received a Wing Loong 2 civil UAV platform.
Wing Loong 2
Wing Loong 2 civil UAV adopts an aerodynamic fuselage, being made of composite materials and powered by a turbo-prop engine and equipped with anti-icing and de-icing functions. It is capable of one-button autonomous take-off and landing, automatic route planning, automated identification system, automatic return while link breakage and intelligent control. It features outstanding flight range, endurance, carrying capacity and environmental adaptability. With a length of 10.8m and height of 4m and wing span of 20.7m, the service ceiling of Wing Loong 2 is 8000m, and the max. flight range is 3600km and the endurance is 14h. With 7 hardpoints, the maximum weight of external payloads is 480kg.

Closely working with the large UAV platform research and manufacture enterprise, AVIC (Chengdu) UAS Co., Ltd., the Company has built up a professional technical support and flight service team, and set up the large UAV operating system under the guidance of the competent departments of civil aviation. The custody business team is composed of qualified professionals versed in the general aviation sector, with years of flying experiences as well as experiences in the maintenance, management and safety control, who are able to provide one-stop personalized management services for the large UAVs.
Weather Modification Operation
Having the functions of anti-icing and de-icing, the Wing Loong 2 UAV can be equipped with the modularized atmosphere detection equipment and pyrotechnic seeding device, to carry out the long-range meteorological observation, atmospheric data collection and precipitation enhancement catalyst distribution. It can be operated under the complicate weather conditions, greatly improving the working efficiency of weather modification, which realizes the people-oriented target and benefits the agricultural production.
Emergency Response and Disaster Relief
Wing Loong 2 UAV can be equipped with the electro-optical pod, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), aerial CCD Camera, emergency communication pod and emergency delivery pod. Wing Loong 2 UAV can achieve the visual command and vertical link-up and horizontal connection of images, voices and data under the extreme conditions in the disaster-hit areas (i.e. the disconnection of road, power and network), by adopting the public networks, private networks and satellite communications to complement each other and integrating the aerial networking and high-point relay technologies, building a space-air-ground integrated emergency communication support system in an all-round way and providing a new solution for the country to carry out emergency rescue instantly.
Meteorological Science Experiments
Wing Loong 2 UAV can be equipped with the weather detecting equipment including the airborne SAR, dropsonde system, Ka-band Doppler Scatterometer and atmospheric microwave comprehensive visualizer, etc., to collect the multiple and tridimensional meteorological parameters in the intense convection and icing conditions under plateau and marine environment, providing accurate, safe and efficient means for the country’s precise weather detection.
Flight Research and Experiments
Featuring more hardpoints and outstanding flight range, endurance, carrying capacity and environmental adaptability, Wing Loong 2 UAV is able to provide airborne testing services based on the products’ characteristics of the colleges and universities and small and medium-sized private enterprises in the aviation industry.
